You and your team will not be alone during 2012.  There will be gangs who will steal your supplies, kidnap team mates, and even kill you. Your team will need to look for food, water, and shelter, but other gangs are  looking for the same things as you. 

You can also steal from other gangs.  In the 2012 disaster, it's survival of the fittest, and sometimes your team will have to steal food for you.
